After a disrupted few weeks we are all set for a full round of FQPL 3 Men’s and Women’s action this weekend. Here is a brief preview of what is to come!
Men’s
Centenary Stormers will be hoping to pick up another three points when they host The Gap on Friday night. In form Newmarket make the trip to Acacia Ridge hoping to continue their surge up the table. League leaders The Lakes welcome Pine Hills to Kinsellas Park hoping to continue to mount the pressure on the chasing teams around them. Bayside and Toowong lock horns on Saturday evening with both sides eager to get all three points for a push to get into the top four and mount a finals run. UQFC play host to St George Willawong who haven’t played in a while since the rain delay and currently trail The Lakes in second place with games in hand. On Sunday Mt Gravatt and Western Spirit meet in a mid-table clash.
Women’s
Mt Gravatt will look to keep their undefeated streak alive when they host North Star on Saturday evening. Caboolture will be eager to continue their push in second place when they host Ipswich City fresh off a defeat to Springfield. After their win against Ipswich, Springfield welcome Southside Eagles who know that nothing but all three points could put a dent in their top four aspirations. On Sunday Toowong will look to bounce back against Bethania Rams following their big defeat to North Brisbane last week, who will sit out this week’s games with a bye.
