QPL3 Women
Highfields Gold will want to respond to their 3-0 loss to Willowburn last Saturday night, with a strong performance. Meanwhile USQ will not be willing to take a backward step in their pursuit to remain in the top four.
After coming back into the top four Rockville will want to keep their momentum and winning streak going, and make it three wins in a row. Meanwhile, Highfields Green competed for long periods against USQFC in the week prior, which will give them a great deal of confidence heading into this match.
Despite not getting the three points, a narrow loss to last weekend could be the start of the West Wanderers finding some cohesion and chemistry. Their pursuit for 3 points doesn’t get any easier this week though, as they face an in form Willowburn team.
Coming off a 6-0 loss the Hawks will have their nervous eyes on teams below them, as they endeavour to stay firmly entrenched in the top four. The Rubies are on the continual improve and will head to Harristown Park believing they can cause an upset.
QPL3 Men
Few would believe that several weeks ago, St Albans would be in the top two. But a string of wins, and a wave of momentum has seen them come from the back of the pack to set up a top of the table match this Sunday versus Willowburn.
West Wanderers take on Gatton on Saturday night. With Gatton being pushed out of the top four, they’ll arrive at Wanderers with an attacking mind set and will want to make a statement to the rest of the competition. Whilst Wanderers will want to return to winner’s circle after back to back losses.
Two back to back narrow losses for the Rovers will have them keen to start well and finish even better against Highfields. Highfields find themselves six points adrift from their next opponent, but a big performance this weekend can see them back in the mix for finals footy.
