The action returns in the FQPL 3 South Coast as we approach the business end of the 2022 season. As the race for the league title and finals heats up, here is a brief preview of what to expect this week.
Men’s
Robina City continue their push for a maiden title as they take on Tallebudgera away from home on Friday night. The visitors have been in stellar form and will be hoping to continue their push for the remainder of the season. Broadbeach and Southport square off in what could be a crucial fixture for both sides, with the Dolphins looking at a league title assault and the Warriors in a fierce battle for finals football this season. Kingscliff will need all three points in a clash against Musgrave at home to continue their pursuit of finals football. The Mustangs on their day can be tough for any opponent and will be hoping for much of the same. Burleigh took 83 minutes to get the better of Nerang in their first meeting but will be hoping to get the job done early when they host the Eagles at Pizzey Park. The Eagles have been harder to beat of late and will be hoping for some luck along the way. Palm Beach face a tricky assignment against Runaway Bay at home in the late kick off. The Sharks tasted defeat in their first round match up and will be wary of the threats the Bayhawks pose.
Women’s
Broadbeach and Magic square off in what could be a huge decider on final standings on Monday night at Nikiforides Park. Both teams have been in good form and hoping to get the better of one another this round. Kingscliff and Mudgeeraba will be eager to get a win on the board after a tough season for both sides. The Wolves will fancy themselves at home against a Wallabies team that has had a tough run in recent weeks. Palm Beach head to Robina City in the late kick off hoping to keep up pace with the others in the top four. City have shown they can match it on their day and will be hoping for much of the same this week.
