The state’s most talented young futsal players will go head-to-head as the Football Queensland Futsal State Titles return in 2022. 

The two-day tournament will be held at Nissan Arena on Saturday, 24 September and Sunday, 25 September and will feature male and female teams from Under 12 to Youth age groups. 

“Football Queensland remains committed to our bold vision for futsal as we work to grow and progress the game in line with FQ’s Futsal Strategy, providing stronger support for our member clubs and delivering more opportunities for Queenslanders to get involved in the game,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said. 

“The FQ Futsal State Titles are a highlight of the futsal calendar each year as we bring together Queensland’s brightest young talent for two days of high-quality competition, so we look forward to seeing our state’s best players in action next month.” 

“Futsal in Queensland is currently undergoing a significant transformation as we accelerate the implementation of FQ’s Futsal Strategy, so now is the perfect time for clubs to affiliate with Football Queensland to provide their players, coaches, and team officials and administrators with greater opportunities through access to new competitions, leagues and tournaments,” newly appointed FQ Manager – Futsal Vince Sciacca said. 

“Alongside the SEQ Futsal Premier League, the upcoming FQ Futsal State Titles are a showcase event for futsal players to demonstrate their talent while also providing players with advanced development pathways and an opportunity to represent their region. 

“Male and female participants will have the opportunity to be selected for Queensland State teams, so there will be plenty to play for with both team and individual honours at stake. 

“We are pleased to have secured one of Brisbane’s premier venues, Nissan Arena, for the 2022 edition of the Futsal State Titles and encourage our futsal community to come down to experience all the action and excitement of the event and support our players as they compete to become Champions of their age group and the overall Champion Club.” 

Club applications for the FQ Futsal State Titles are now open and will close on Friday, 26 August 2022.
