The countdown to finals football continues in the FQPL 3 Metro Men’s and Women’s however plenty of scenarios are still in play for the regular season. Here is a brief preview of what to expect.
Men’s
The Gap and UQFC face off in a huge clash for both sides looking to avoid relegation at UQ. A win for both could see them escape the drop with The Gap needing all three points more than their hosts. St. George travel to Bayside eager to remain in top spot with Bayside also looking to create some distance for a finals spot. Acacia Ridge will be hoping results go their way and a win against Western Spirit to see them edge closer to a top four berth. Centenary Stormers welcome The Lakes in what is set to be a crucial game for both sides in the latter stages of the season. Newmarket know a win against Toowong would put them in a strong position heading into the final games to secure a top four spot in their first season in the FQPL 3 Metro. Pine Hills will be eager for a late finals push when they take on Mt Gravatt at Dittmer Park.
Women’s
Only a handful of games for the FQPL 3 Women this week with three fixtures being played. On Saturday North Star play host to second placed Mt Gravatt while Caboolture make the trip to Springfield for their fixture at Springfield Central Complex. Bethania and Toowong round out their seasons when they lock horns at Opperman Park. North Brisbane, S0uthside Eagles and Ipswich City Bulls have all concluded their regular season proceedings.
