Football Queensland is delighted to announce former Matilda and football reporter Amy Chapman and sports journalist Adam Peacock as the Masters of Ceremonies for the 2023 Football in Queensland Awards Night.
A leading voice of football in Australia, Amy Chapman played professionally for 13 years and represented Australia at both junior and senior levels, and is now playing a prominent role in football media.
Chapman was a lead reporter for both Optus Sport and HBS (FIFA) for the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ and co-commentated matches throughout the tournament including the Final which was broadcast globally to over 2 billion viewers.
Chapman will also feature on Channel 10 this season as she reports on the A-Leagues alongside her Optus Sport coverage of the Premier League and the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Adam Peacock has worked in the media for over 25 years across print, TV, radio and podcast journalism. Beginning his career at Channel Seven, Peacock spent 15 years at Fox Sports covering football from around the world.
In 2021, Peacock joined Code Sports as a feature writer and in 2023, returned to Seven to host its record-breaking FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ coverage.
Celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals and clubs at every level of the game, the Football in Queensland Awards Night will be held at Brisbane City Hall on Saturday, 28 October.
