Football Queensland has released the season calendars for 2024, with a unified schedule to again be implemented across all regions following the introduction of the connected football pyramid.
The release of the calendars follows a momentous year for football in Queensland as the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ graced our shores.
“In addition to hosting the biggest ever addition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, this year we witnessed another fantastic year of football at every level of the game across the state from the grassroots to the NPL Queensland,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“As we prepare for the 2024 season, Football Queensland has worked closely and collaboratively with all Queensland clubs to produce the final season calendars released today.
“The 2024 season calendars outline all football activity throughout the state, including Football Queensland competitions at every level and other major events including WinterFest and the National Futsal Championships.
“2024 is set to be yet another huge year for our game, kicking off with the National Futsal Championships which Football Queensland will host on the Gold Coast in January.
“Another exciting addition to the football calendar for next year is the Queensland Cup, which will unify both men’s and women’s statewide knockout tournaments under one name, as well as the introduction of the Kappa Pro Series for teams in the FQPL 1 and 2 Women.
“Thank you to all members of our football community who have been part of our game this year, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another great season in 2024.”
