Football Queensland will deliver a comprehensive School Futsal Program in 2024 in partnership with Queensland School Futsal, providing a full calendar of events for all secondary school age groups from Under 12 to Open Boys and Girls. 

The FQ School Futsal Program will include the FQ School Futsal Regional Championships, State Championships and National Championships as well as the Queensland School Futsal Cups. 

“Football Queensland was delighted to welcome Queensland School Futsal as an affiliated member this year, leading to the successful delivery of FQ’s inaugural School Futsal Program in 2023 and providing new opportunities for students across the state,” FQ Manager – Futsal Vince Sciacca said. 

“The aim of the FQ School Futsal Program is to deliver a premier futsal competition for secondary schools across Queensland, bringing together the state’s strongest talent while providing the opportunity to advance to a Finals Series and be crowned Regional, State and National Champions. 

“The FQ School Futsal Championships launched this year provided a competition for secondary school aged boys and girls to compete within their Queensland School Sport (QSS), with age groups transitioning to Under 13, Under 15 and Open Boys and Girls for 2024. 

“In addition to the state-wide Championships at regional, state and national level, the Queensland School Futsal Cups will also provide additional competitive playing opportunities for Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 students in South East Queensland. 

“As part of Football Queensland’s objective to growing futsal across the state, we’re committed to providing more opportunities for Queenslanders to get involved in the game through the School Futsal Program.”
