Football Queensland has today confirmed the final composition of the Advanced Junior competitions for 2024 which form part of the FQ Academy pathway system.
The final Declaration of Leagues includes the composition of leagues across the FQ Academy Leagues for Under 9 to Under 18 Boys and Under 11 to Under 17 Girls.
“The confirmation of Advanced Junior leagues for 2024 follows the completion of the FQ Club Development Unit’s extensive Club Assessment process which continues to form the basis for the composition, design and rank of advanced junior leagues for both boys and girls, with the assembly of these leagues built around each club’s Club Rank Score,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“We’re delighted to confirm the incremental addition of an FQ Academy League for Under 12 Girls in 2024. FQ has been closely monitoring the progress of FQ Academy clubs, further driven by the ongoing growth in female participation and the continual development of high-quality junior female programs.
“Thank you to each of our FQ Academy clubs for their ongoing commitment to fostering positive environments for our junior players to develop as they progress on the advanced player pathway.
“Football Queensland is looking forward to working closely with clubs again next year to continue improving junior player development outcomes for our most talented young boys and girls.”
FQ Academy QAS Girls teams will continue to participate in FQ Academy Boys leagues and the NPL Women’s leagues in 2024.
