Football Queensland has confirmed the draw details for Rounds 3-6 of the inaugural Kappa Queensland Cup.
Featuring clubs from every region across Queensland, the Kappa Queensland Cup unifies the previous men’s and women’s state tournaments as the teams vie for Queensland’s top honours.
The opening rounds saw high-quality matchups take place across the state with even more exciting games on the way as the draw details for Rounds 3-6 have been confirmed.
In the Kappa Queensland Cup – Men’s draw, Round 4 will see NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 sides enter the competition, as well as the merging of the remaining Wide Bay and Central Coast regional teams.
Round 5 will see the merging of the Wide Bay, Central Coast and Whitsunday Coast regional teams, and the Northern and Far North Gulf teams, before the Regional Final in Round 6.
The Kappa Queensland Cup – Men also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Australia Cup, with the top four men’s teams to enter the national tournament in the Round of 32 as the state’s representatives.
The same four teams will continue to compete in the Semi Finals and a Final of the Kappa Queensland Cup to decide the state Champion.
In the Kappa Queensland Cup – Women, FQPL 1 & 2 sides will enter in Round 3 alongside the remaining eight teams from the FQPL 3 competition, with NPL Women’s sides joining in Round 4.
The women’s Regional Final and the next Kappa Queensland Cup – Youth Rounds will be drawn in May, with draw confirmations to be released at a later date.
