Football Queensland has released details of the Club Convention topics for the inaugural Queensland Football Convention, taking place on Saturday, 2 November, and Sunday, 3 November 2024, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
“The two-day convention will serve as a crucial forum for innovative dialogue and collaborative exploration amongst clubs, offering attendees the chance to engage in transformative discussions, discover innovative solutions, and take part in interactive and insightful sessions,” Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Over the two days, the Queensland Football Convention will offer specialised sessions for clubs, coaches, and referees, each featuring leading national and international speakers and panellists who will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge on key topics for advancing the game.
“For club representatives and committee members, FQ has designed targeted sessions addressing critical topics essential for the growth and success of our clubs, making this event vital for Queensland club representatives looking to be at the forefront of our game’s evolution.”
The convention will present club focused sessions based on the themes of ‘Growth,’ ‘Sustainability,’ and ‘Technology,’ covering the following areas:

Details regarding the speakers for each club session, as well as the referee and coach topic sessions will be provided in the coming weeks.
In addition to two days of convention sessions, the Queensland Football Convention will also include a cocktail networking event at the Sunset Lounge at Suncorp Stadium for Brisbane Roar Men’s home opener against Sydney FC, and the Football in Queensland Awards Night at Brisbane City Hall.
