Football Queensland (FQ) is pleased to announce Performance Physio as its Official Physiotherapy Partner to all FQ Representative Programs and FQ Staff for 2025 and preferred physio partner for FQ’s football community.
This new partnership will help to enhance the support available to Queensland players, delivering expert injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation support across key FQ programs and events throughout the season.
As part of the partnership, Performance Physio will deliver physiotherapy, sports trainer services, injury screening, prevention, and management at major Football Queensland events, including FQ Academy competitions, Queensland State Teams in the NPL U23 competition and National Youth Championships, as well as FQ Academy QAS training sessions and matchdays.
Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said the partnership would provide crucial support to players as they develop within the state’s high-performance pathways.

Their expertise in injury management and player welfare will be invaluable in ensuring our athletes can perform at their best while maintaining their health on and off the field,” Cavallucci said.
“Performance Physio has been a trusted provider of physiotherapy services within Queensland’s football community, and we’re pleased to continue working with them to provide professional, high-quality support to our FQ Academy programs.
“This partnership ensures our current and emerging players will have access to the best possible care and education, helping them develop long-term injury prevention and management skills.”
Brisbane-based Performance Physio with locations including Holland Park, Toowong, Yeronga and Bardon, has a history of working with many of Queensland’s top athletes, FQ competitions and affiliated clubs including Moreton City Excelsior, Olympic FC, Holland Park Hawks, Logan Lightning, St George Willawong and Annerley FC.
Director and Principal Physiotherapist Ranveer Atwal said the new partnership would help players access specialised football injury rehabilitation, prevention and recovery, leveraging the latest systems and equipment to support their long-term development including access to prioritised sports medicine pathways.
