Football Queensland is excited to announce the appointment of Priscilla Tan as Club Development Ambassador for the South East Queensland region. 

Priscilla brings unique value to this role, with experience spanning many facets of the game, including with Football Queensland as part of the FQ coach education team and as a member of the FQ State Team program coaching staff.  

As a seasoned Football Australia A Diploma coach, Priscilla brings great experience in Football Tactical Analysis and Strength and Conditioning, skills which she has honed through her work with several local Queensland football clubs over the past few years.  

“Priscilla’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Holly Johnson to the same role for the Central Coast region, a demonstration of the strong pathways that exist for female coaches across the state,” FQ General Manager – Football, Infrastructure & Club Development Ryan Fett said. 

“The ongoing strengthening of these pathways reflects Football Queensland’s standing commitment to reaching 50/50 gender parity in participation by 2027.  

“The depth to Priscilla’s understanding of the game both as a player and a coach will bring great strength to our Club Development processes in South East Queensland. 

“Priscilla’s expertise is complemented by her experience coaching in Singapore, which will see her at the helm of the Singapore National U16 Girls Team for the upcoming 2025 ASEAN U16 Women’s Championship.  

“Her understanding of the game is also shaped by an extensive football playing career, both here as part of the NPL Queensland Women’s competition and in Singapore, where she earned 16 caps for the Singapore Women’s National Team.  

“We look forward to Priscilla being able to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with both our staff and the broader Queensland football community in her new role.”  

“I’ve always been passionate about football, and having the opportunity to work in a full-time technical role is a dream come true,” Tan said. 

“I’m excited to connect with like-minded people, exchange ideas, and collaborate on problem-solving to drive the growth of the game. 

“My goal is to support clubs in refining their programs by collaborating with technical staff to enhance coaching quality, and help them deliver the player development programs they envision.  

“With my background in coaching, coach education, technical administration and sports science, I’m confident I can provide comprehensive support tailored to the needs of each club.”
