Football Queensland has confirmed that governing body player registration fees for all participants will remain unchanged for the 2026 season, keeping Queensland’s footballers paying the lowest registration fees of any Member Federation in Australia.
This marks the sixth year in a row without a governing body fee increase for our Coles MiniRoos ($50), Juniors ($66) and Seniors ($130), and further demonstrates FQ’s commitment to keeping the game affordable and accessible for players and families throughout the state.
“The FQ Board of Directors is dedicated to continue providing the benefits of our major structural reform directly to our participants. Today’s announcement clearly shows that commitment. By keeping fees unchanged for six years, we have provided stability and certainty to all our players and families, keeping Queensland the most affordable state for playing football in the country,” Football Queensland President Paula Robinson said.
“The significant governance and operational reforms we have made in recent years continue to deliver real results for our communities. By building stronger structures and careful fiscal management, we have protected participants from rising costs, allowing our clubs and players to focus on enjoying their football and being part of our vibrant community.”
“We’re proud to keep our player registration fees unchanged for another year, giving families the confidence that Queensland remains the most affordable state to play football in the country. Football’s strength is its accessibility, a sport that anyone, anywhere can play, and that’s exactly what we want to promote as more Queenslanders than ever before are taking up the game,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“We understand that every dollar counts for our participants and their families. By not raising fees, we’re encouraging more people to be able to step onto and stay on the pitch, ensuring that football remains wholly inclusive and accessible for all. It also creates a sustainable future that benefits every player, every club, and every community.”
“After what was an extremely exciting season this year, we look forward to welcoming all our participants back and seeing even more Queenslanders join our game in 2026.”
