Football Queensland is delighted to announce the Queensland squad selected to compete at the 2025 National Para Football Championships, which will be held at the Home of the Matildas in Melbourne from 8–12 December 2025.
Hosted by Football Australia, the tournament will see footballers from five Member Federations across the country come together for a week of high-quality competition and development opportunities as they compete for titles and look to impress in front of the CommBank ParaMatildas and CommBank Pararoos coaching staff.
Sam Escobar, FQ Manager – Inclusion Football, said the National Para Football Championships continue to play an important role in the growth of the game in Queensland.
“The Championships are a key milestone in the pathway and an important identification opportunity for future national team representation, and our Queensland squad brings together top players from regions right across the state as they prepare to compete in the highest tier of Para Football and represent Queensland on the national stage,” Escobar said.
“It’s great to see continued growth in the Para Football space, with several new players earning selection for the first time this year. The squad features a strong mix of emerging talent and experienced athletes who are helping to strengthen inclusive pathways across the game.
“As we build on the development of the Para Football pathway and deepen connections with our all-abilities programs, we’re really proud of the progress being made across the state. Competing against the best from around Australia is an important step in each player’s development.”
Football Queensland congratulates all players selected and looks forward to seeing the team represent the state with pride in Melbourne.
