Football Queensland has confirmed the draw details for the opening rounds of the Kappa Queensland Cup as the statewide competition returns for its biggest edition yet.
A record 307 teams will participate in the 2026 Kappa Queensland Cup, making it the largest tournament to date across each of the four competitions – Men, Women, Under 18 Boys and Under 18 Girls (Youth).
“It’s fantastic to see the popularity of the Kappa Queensland Cup continuing to grow each year, with more and more clubs from every part of the state keen to get involved which is testament to the quality of competition on show each year,” FQ General Manager – Leagues and Officials Slater Asnicar said.
“A record 307 teams have signed up to compete this year across the Men’s, Women’s and Under 18 Boys and Girls competitions, making the 2026 edition of the Kappa Queensland Cup an absolute must-watch.
“We look forward to welcoming last year’s winners back to defend their title, and to seeing the skills of our state’s best footballers on show across each region as the Kappa Queensland Cup kicks off for 2026.”
The Kappa Queensland Cup opening rounds draw will be confirmed on Monday, 19 January and will include Rounds 1-3 in the Men, the Qualifying Round and Rounds 1 and 2 in the Women, and the Round of 32 and Round of 16 for Under 18 Boys and Girls.
