Football Queensland is pleased to confirm the appointment of Riley Pitchford as Club Development Ambassador for the Far North & Gulf region.
Pitchford brings valuable experience to the role as a Football Australia Coach Educator and B Diploma coach alongside his recent work in the education sector and has previously delivered programs for both Football Australia and Football Tasmania.
“Riley has immense passion for the game and we’re delighted to welcome him to Football Queensland where he will play a crucial role in bolstering our FQ Academy program and club development processes in the Far North & Gulf region,” said Ryan Fett, FQ General Manager – Football, Infrastructure & Club Development.
“Boasting over a decade of coaching experience with Tasmanian clubs focusing on the development of players from MiniRoos through to Seniors, Riley has recently made the move to Cairns and is eager to contribute to the development of the game in the Far North & Gulf through this new role.
“He’s already made a fantastic start, and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve as he works closely with our Far North & Gulf clubs and community.”
“I’m super excited to integrate myself into the Far North & Gulf football ecosystem, connecting with a diverse range of people and clubs,” Pitchford said.
“So far it has been great to learn processes and meet clubs, coaches and players, and I’m eager to share my learnings with the region as I continue further into the role.
“I’m looking forward to expanding and improving the quality of the FQ Academy, providing more high-quality participation opportunities for our players and supporting our clubs through Football Queensland’s Club Development Program, helping them to improve outcomes for their members.”
