The 2026 Queensland Football Gala will celebrate the achievements of the state’s most outstanding individuals and teams, with a new event format added to elevate the experience for attendees with the introduction of the Gala Reception.

The new Gala Reception will precede the commencement of the Gala and deliver a tailored celebration designed to highlight the most successful players and coaches from across the NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 and 2, before the Queensland Football Gala recognises the deserving members of our statewide football community, from club administrators to volunteers and match officials. 

“The Queensland Football Gala is a highlight of the year for so many of our participants from across the state who join us each year to celebrate the season, so we’re always looking for new ways to continually elevate the experience for those in attendance,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said. 

“The introduction of the Gala Reception this year will do just that, providing a unique and focused celebration tailored to our state’s premier leagues as a precursor to the Queensland Football Gala, where players, coaches and administrators from our advanced clubs will join members of the statewide football community to celebrate the 2026 season. 

“The addition of the Gala Reception allows the Queensland Football Gala to focus on the achievements of worthy recipients across our Community and Service to Football, Advanced Club, Referee and Futsal award categories, as well as the state’s premier competition awards as we unveil the 2026 NPL Queensland Coach and Player of the Year award recipients to close out the evening. 

“We look forward to welcoming members of our game from every corner of the state for the 2026 Queensland Football Gala in what is set to be an unmissable occasion as we recognise the contributions of our game’s most deserving individuals, teams and clubs.” 

The 2026 Queensland Football Gala will be held at Brisbane City Hall on Saturday, 10 October.
