Football Queensland has today confirmed the 2026 season calendars, with a unified schedule once again set to connect every region of the state through the connected football pyramid.
The release of the calendars follows one of the most exciting years for football in Queensland as new events were introduced, champions were crowned and history was made across the state, bringing more football to Queenslanders in every region.
“As we prepare for the 2026 season, Football Queensland has worked closely with clubs right across the state to deliver the calendars released today,” Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“These calendars showcase the full spectrum of football activity in Queensland, highlighting all our events and competitions from grassroots carnivals through to major events like the FQ Academy WinterFest and Pacific Championships.
“2026 is shaping up to be another huge year for our game, beginning with the National Futsal Championships on the Gold Coast as the tournament kicks off its three-year residency in Queensland from Tuesday, 13 January to Saturday, 17 January. Just days later, the action continues as the Kappa Queensland Cup launches the outdoor season in late January and early February.
“Building on the success of our connected football pyramid in advancing the game, we’re thrilled to welcome the FQPL 4 Metro Women league into our South East Queensland conference in 2026, a clear reflection of the strength of the women’s game and the incredible depth of talent across the region. We look forward to even more thrilling football and memorable moments throughout the year.
“Thank you to all members of our football community who have been part of our game this year, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another great season in 2026.”
