With ten Queenslanders named on the CommBank Matildas’ 23-player squad, the largest contingent from all Member Federations, the Queensland football community is encouraged to get behind the team as they strive for gold whilst taking advantage of the many ways to get involved in the tournament.
From hosting a MiniRoos Kick-Off program to running ‘Green and Gold’ training sessions or Female Football Festivities at your club, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the entire football community to get involved in the thrill of a FIFA Women’s World Cup™.

Experience the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Queensland! Join us at the FIFA Fan Festival and live games in Brisbane Stadium, Milton. Purchase your tickets for the live matches here. Support the CommBank Matildas at live viewing sites throughout Queensland. Clubs are also encouraged to engage with female participants through exciting activities during the tournament.

Get ready to experience the FIFA Fan Festival at Southbank Parkland, Brisbane (Meaanjin), a vibrant destination for football enthusiasts of all ages! From July 20th to August 20th, immerse yourself in the excitement of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.
The festival is free to attend and offers a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the game. Catch all the thrilling matches of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ live on the big screen in a buzzing atmosphere. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Enjoy a weekly headline performance featuring the best homegrown music talents, adding to the festive spirit.
Join us at the FIFA Fan Festival in Southbank Parkland, Brisbane, and be a part of the unforgettable celebration of football!
Live Viewing Sites
Communities in regional Queensland will also have an opportunity to come together and support the CommBank Matildas with live viewing sites set up across the state broadcasting the Australian squad’s games.

About: Come down to Bulimba Memorial Park every Friday afternoon for a social football session for ages 5-12. Sessions are low pressure and fun-based gameplay. Designed for players new or returning to football that are not already part of a club team.
Try Football Future Matildas - Taringa Rovers FC
Time: 6pm – 7pm
Venue: Park 3, Jack Speare Park
About: This is to capture younger players aged 6-12, who have gained extra or new interest due to FWWC.
Female Football Festival - Highfields FC
Time: From 9am
Venue: Highfields Sports Park
About: Inspired by the success and increased interest by the Matildas in the FWWC, Highfields FC will be hosting a Female Football Festival. Register your expression of interest here.
