Future Club +
Football Queensland is proud to launch Future Club+, a ground-breaking initiative designed to strengthen the foundations of football clubs across the state.
Developed by FQ in collaboration with CPR Group, Future Club+ is focused on enhancing the quality and efficiency of club administration and governance. By equipping clubs with the tools, insights, and strategies they need, we’re helping reduce the administrative burden on volunteers so they can focus on what matters most, delivering a better football experience for their communities.
Future Club+ builds on the momentum from the inaugural Queensland Football Convention, where vital conversations began around the challenges facing our clubs. Now, through interactive club lab sessions and ongoing consultation, we’re continuing those discussions and driving practical change.
Club committee members are invited to join us for the final Club Lab Session, which will be held online on Tuesday, 15 July at 7pm.
Football Queensland is excited to announce the inaugural FQ Murri Cup, a celebration of First Nations cultures that will showcase the skill and passion of Queensland’s Indigenous footballers while bringing community together through football 🌟
Across the weekend, the event will also feature a Coles MiniRoos activation, a Charles Perkins XI Talent ID session, and a Community Stallholder Zone, creating opportunities for young players, families and community to connect with the game.
Find out more and submit a player or team EOI now on the FQ website.

Football is the global language.🗺️🗣️
This Harmony Week, we celebrate what makes our game stronger. Inclusion, diversity and the belief that everyone belongs. Through our Q-League Schools program, we’re building more than competition. We’re creating a community where every player, every culture and every story has a place.
7 schools and over 400 players came together in an inter-school competition for boys and girls aged 13 to 18. Built on inclusion and access, Q-League Schools removes common barriers to participation and creates a level playing field where talent and community can thrive.

Congratulations to Queenslander Lucas Herrington on his maiden Socceroos call-up at just 18 years old 🇦🇺👏
Lucas’ journey has seen him rise through the #FQAcademy Leagues system, represent Queensland at the National Youth Championships, and star for the Young Socceroos at the FIFA U20 World Cup, before making his A-League debut with Brisbane Roar last year and earning a club-record move to Colorado Rapids in the MLS.
Wishing you all the best in green & gold, Lucas! 🌟
