The state Home of Football Development is essential for the growth of football in Queensland. With current facilities falling short of FQ’s High Performance Pathway needs, the development of this project is crucial for supporting and producing future Matildas and Socceroos by providing greater access to high-quality training and development for all footballers.
From grassroots to high-performance levels, the Home of Football will offer pathways and programs tailored to empower both boys and girls to reach their full potential in the sport.
As the designated centre of excellence for women’s football in Queensland, the Home of Football will ensure that all women and girls have a dedicated space to develop their skills and compete at the highest level with access to the FQ Academy QAS, development programs, specialty training and tournaments.

Thanks to Football Queensland`s partnership with Staying Alive Health, affiliated clubs can now apply for a fully funded Community Heart Safe Grant valued at more than $15,000.
Successful clubs will receive life-saving equipment, accredited first aid training and ongoing support to help create a safer environment for players, coaches, volunteers and the wider community.
With limited grant allocations available, eligible clubs are encouraged to register their interest before applications close on 31 August.

Lions FC`s Hahn @australiacup dream lives on after a stunning penalty shootout victory over A-League side Perth Glory, with goalkeeper Jacson Riley emerging the hero after two crucial saves in the shootout.
It was an impressive overall performance from the #NPLQLD league leaders, who matched it with their professional opponents for 120 minutes before keeping their cool in the penalty shootout to book their place in the Round of 16.
