NURTURING THE FUTURE
The state Home of Football Development is essential for the growth of football in Queensland. With current facilities falling short of FQ’s High Performance Pathway needs, the development of this project is crucial for supporting and producing future Matildas and Socceroos by providing greater access to high-quality training and development for all footballers.
From grassroots to high-performance levels, the Home of Football will offer pathways and programs tailored to empower both boys and girls to reach their full potential in the sport.
As the designated centre of excellence for women’s football in Queensland, the Home of Football will ensure that all women and girls have a dedicated space to develop their skills and compete at the highest level with access to the FQ Academy QAS, development programs, specialty training and tournaments.

As #FemaleFootballWeek wraps up for 2025, we’re shining a spotlight on the clubs helping drive change across Queensland.💜⚽
A huge shout out to the top 🔟 clubs by number of female participants in each of our SEQ, Central and Northern conferences.
Every player, coach, volunteer and club creating opportunities is helping us move closer to our goal of 50/50 gender parity by 2027.
This is how we grow the game. Thank you to all the clubs leading the way. 👏

As part the Future Club+ initiative, FQ will engage with clubs through a series of Club Lab sessions, surveys and consultations over the coming months, as we explore how to strengthen governance, leadership and sustainability across our game.
This extensive consultation process will culminate at this year’s Queensland Football Convention, where outcomes and next steps will be presented and discussed with your club’s representatives.
Find out more about Future Club+ on FQ`s website.
