Nominations are now open for the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing’s Start Playing Stay Playing Excellence Awards.
The Awards aim to acknowledge achievements in the sport and active recreation industry and individuals, groups or organisations going above and beyond to increase and enhance sport and active recreation opportunities for women and girls in Queensland.
Three award categories are held under the topics of Inclusion, Innovation and Inspiration.
Each category award winner will receive a medal, certificate, merchandise pack and $1,000 in prize money to support their initiative and/or ongoing commitment to getting women and girls active for life.
The winner of the annual Minister’s Start Playing Stay Playing Excellence Award will receive an additional $2,000.
Nominations close Thursday, 31 March with winners to be announced in April.
