Football never ends, which means there’s always plenty to keep you occupied even when we’re counting down to the new season.
Here’s just a few things happen around the state which you won’t want to miss this weekend.
LEARN TO COACH ALDI MINIROOS
Football Queensland is conducting an ALDI MiniRoos Game Leader course at Meakin Park in Brisbane this Saturday morning.
The course will run from 9.00am-12.00pm and is ideal for anyone – parents and volunteers included – keen to provide opportunities to their club’s kids by running ALDI MiniRoos sessions.
The three-hour course doubles as a Grassroots Football Certificate, which teaches beginners the basics of coaching at a community level, and there’s still time to register!
IPSWICH CITY INFORMATION DAY
Ipswich City Bulls are hosting an Information Fun Day from 1.00pm-4.00pm this Sunday afternoon ahead of the new grassroots football season.
Players and parents new and old are welcome to get along to Sutton Park, with a senior exhibition match to follow the festivities.
PRE-SEASON CLASH ON THE COAST

PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland club Gold Coast City are ramping up their pre-season preparations with a marquee friendly against Victorian outfit Oakleigh Cannons on Saturday afternoon.
The match will be a good test of City’s progress given Oakleigh reached last year’s PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria Grand Final, where they narrowly lost 3-2 to South Melbourne.
Entry is free at Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre, with kick-off scheduled for 4.00pm.
FAR NORTH SAUSAGE SIZZLE
In Far North Queensland, Kuranda Rangers will be raising funds with a sausage sizzle and raffle at Bunnings Smithfield from 8.00am-4.00pm on Saturday.
Get along to support the club while enjoying Australia’s most delicious weekend tradition.
