Football Queensland has today opened the application process for clubs wishing to take part in PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Women’s Queensland from 2018 onwards.
The commencement of the application period comes as Football Queensland nears an announcement on the identity of clubs for the restructured men’s state football system.
The PS4 NPL Women’s competition structure will be reviewed and designed based on the quality of applications received.
Each licensee will be required to field teams in the following age categories: Senior Women, Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13.
Now in its third season, the PS4 NPL Women’s division has been a feature of Queensland’s footballing landscape since 2015.
Junior girls competitions have likewise been an integral part of the elite player pathway since the inception of the PS4 National Premier Leagues in 2013.
Applications will be accepted until close of business on Friday, 16 June, with Football Queensland to begin assessing submissions from Monday, 19 June.
