Time: 7:00pm Friday, February 16
Redlands United host Gold Coast United on Friday night’s live streamed fixture, with both teams unable to grab victories in their respective Round Two games. Redlands will however look to continue their goal scoring form against Gold Coast, who were unable to overcome the Brisbane Roar Youth going down 2-0.
Keep an eye out for Shuto Kuboyama, who is an attacking threat of the highest quality, with his Round Two hat-trick against SWQ Thunder salvaging a draw for his team.
Brisbane Strikers will be aiming to grab their first home victory of 2018 when they welcome Moreton Bay United. As will Brisbane City, when they face off against SWQ Thunder.
North Queensland United FC came out narrow victors in their Northern Queensland derby with Mackay Magpies, and will have to see off against Western Pride FC if they wish to continue their winning streak. The Magpies however, will have to contend with a Sunshine Coast team, who will also be keen to turn last week’s win into a winning streak of their own.
Brisbane Roar Youth Coach James Robinson was pleased with his men’s Round Two win against Gold Coast United, and will no doubt want to see a repeat result when they play Cairns FC. Cairns however will be determined to kick-start their winning ways, as they missed out on competition points in last weekend’s clash with the Sunshine Coast.
Finally, Sunday football will see the two-from-two Olympic FC clash with fellow table-topper Lions FC, who are on a winning streak of their own. Both teams will look to this fixture as a big chance to go three points clear over their so-far undefeated opponents.

Brisbane Roar FC/NTC will surely use their narrow 3-2 defeat to The Gap FC as motivation for their Round Three clash with a Western Pride side aiming to continue their winning season. This game will be one of two Friday night NPLW fixtures, as Moreton Bay United will host Logan Lightning.
The Gap FC midfielder Greta Bodey will look to continue her amazing start to the season with four goals to her name already.
Capalaba Bulldogs will travel west to Gatton to face the SWQ Thunder, who literarily brought the thunder with them as their round 2 fixture was postponed due to severe weather. Their washed out game against Souths United was played on Tuesday night, with Souths United victorious in a 4-2 score line.
Lions Stadium in Richlands will be the venue of battle for the first of two Super Saturday live stream games, when Lions FC play Gold Coast United. Both coming off wins in their respective fixtures, neither side will want to take a backwards step. So too will The Gap FC, who will host the Wanderers of the Sunshine Coast on Saturday Night.
Watch out for Lions FC’s Tegan Riding, she will be a strong presence up front, having bagged seven goals already this season.
Eastern Suburbs suffered a road loss in Round Two, and will be looking to restore winning ways with a chance to do so at home. Mitchelton will be their opponents, who have a chance to go three-from-three after a successful trip to Sunshine Coast last weekend.
Finally, Mudgeeraba and Souths United will face off in the final NPLW fixture of Round Three. Mudgeeraba SC will be set to use their second home game of their campaign as an opportunity to gain their first competition points, while Souths will look to make it three-from-three in their 2018 season.

The FQPL Round Three starts as Logan Lightning welcome Rochedale Rovers to Cornubia Park on Saturday night, with both teams coming off victories in their most recent fixtures. Logan will be looking to gain three points at home this week, after a road victory against Wolves FC. A Benjamin Nije double helped Rochedale Rovers overcome Capalaba Bulldogs.
As a former International, Wellington Phoenix and Adelaide United player, Jon McKain, is sure to be a big player for Rochedale Rovers again after his strong show in Round Two.
Peninsula Power will host Wolves FC in their round 3 fixture, and will aim to replicate their winning performance against Eastern Suburbs. The East Tigers themselves will attempt to bounce back against the Wanderers, as they travel to the Sunshine Coast on Saturday night.
Power’s Dean Briggs has been a presence up front so far this season, be on the lookout for another strong performance.
After winning a closely fought clash between the two Souths, Southside eagles will play Capalaba Bulldogs with the aim of taking the three points again. Souths United will host Holland Park Hawks in the livestream match for the week, who along with Peninsula Power, are the only two teams to grab all six points on offer so far in 2018.
Ipswich Knights and Wide Bay Buccaneers will face off at Eric Evans Oval in the only FQPL Sunday fixture. Wide Bay Buccaneers will be itching to go after having the bye in Round Two, while Ipswich Knights went down 5-1 to the Hawks of Holland Park, Their defeat was largely due to Hawks sharpshooter Marek Madle, who bagged his second hat trick in as many games. Mitchelton FC are the team with the BYE in round 3 of the FQPL.
