The state’s best junior and senior futsal players will be on show when the third edition of the South East Queensland Futsal Premier League (SEQFPL) kicks off next month.
Arana United Futsal Club, Bundaberg Wildcats, Galaxy FC, Moreton Bay Futsal, Redlands United FC Futsal and Sunshine Coast Wave will contest a 10-week home and away season starting on 29-30 September, before the SEQFPL Finals Series on 8-9 December.
FQ Futsal Administrator Trevor Edwards said the announcement of the SEQFPL’s third season shows Queensland’s commitment to the continued development of futsal.
“The SEQFPL provides Queensland futsal players the opportunity to compete at a high level throughout the summer,” Edwards said.
“The futsal on display in the first two seasons was of a high standard across all age groups and we’re confident that will continue in season three.”
The SEQFPL will continue its strong focus on junior development and the 2018 season sees the addition of the Under 13 Girls age group.
Clubs will compete in the following age groups, for the SEQFPL Club Championship:
- Under 12 Boys
- Under 13 Girls
- Under 14 Boys
- Under 15 Girls

The exception is Bundaberg Wildcats, who will only compete in the male age groups.
The draw for the SEQFPL will be released over the coming weeks, with Galaxy FC out to defend the SEQ Club Championship following their overall victory in 2017.
