Football Queensland (FQ) is excited to announce the special guests who will be in attendance at the 2019 Football in Queensland Awards Night, hosted by Nine News Queensland presenter Andrew Lofthouse.
Hear from Football Federation Australia (FFA) Chairman Chris Nikou as he sits down for a Q&A session on stage, giving an insight into the Australian football landscape and discussing the development of the game in Queensland.
The stellar line-up of speakers also includes Westfield Matildas Assistant Coach Mel Andreatta, Junior Matildas Head Coach Rae Dower and Matildas player Katrina Gorry.
The three esteemed football professionals will discuss the growth of female football and the opportunities for future development of the women’s game on a female football panel at the 2019 Football in Queensland Awards Night.
Ben Ottewell, lead singer of world-renowned band Gomez, will be the musical guest featured at this year’s Awards Night.
Ottewell performed at Glastonbury in 1999 with Gomez, and won the Mercury Music Award Prize in 1998.
The 2019 Football in Queensland Awards Night will be held on Saturday, 2 November in the Grand Windsor Ballroom at the Pullman Hotel in Brisbane.
A variety of awards will be presented on the night, recognising the outstanding achievements of individuals and clubs at both community level and from FQ’s Premier competitions.
