Despite a number of wash outs across Football Queensland competitions, some thrilling matches were played over the weekend in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland Men’s, NPL Women’s and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL).
NPL Men’s
Redlands United recorded a second straight win, Moreton Bay United held Gold Coast Knights to a draw in a dramatic finish thanks to a goal in the dying stages of the match, and Olympic FC and Brisbane Roar Youth split the points in Round 6 of the NPL Men’s competition.
Four other scheduled matches were washed out and will be rescheduled to a later date.

NPL Women’s
Lions FC handed Logan Lightning their first loss of the season in an 8-goal thriller, while a Jamie Ayala hat-trick helped Mitchelton FC put seven goals past SWQ Thunder to record their first win of their 2020 campaign.
Elsewhere, Gold Coast United went atop the NPL Women’s table with a 2-0 win over Capalaba FC, and Souths United held the Football Queensland/QAS side to a draw to secure their first point of the season.

FQPL
Holland Park Hawks turned their form around to record their first win of the season in a dominant display against Sunshine Coast FC, while Western Pride handed Rochedale Rovers their first loss for 2020.
Logan Lightning extended their winning streak to three matches from three with a win against Souths United, and SWQ Thunder jumped to the top of the table with a 3-2 victory over fellow top four side Ipswich Knights.
