Football Queensland is pleased to announce a new Level 3 Referee course to be held in the Wide Bay region next week.
The course will be held on Sunday, 3 April at Martens Oval in Bundaberg and is a new pilot initiative geared towards senior players.
“We know that the growth of our game is underpinned by the quality and number of our referees, so we are excited to offer this brand-new opportunity for senior players in Wide Bay,” FQ Central Coast General Manager Andy Allan said.
“This new referee course is for older players who are above the age of 20 and have a minimum of 10 years playing experience.
“Their experience will be viewed as Recognised Prior Learning (RPL), which will allow them to go straight to refereeing senior football without having to officiate junior matches.
“This new initiative will help us to continue our mission of developing the game by growing the pool of senior referees in the Wide Bay region, to deliver high-quality participation experiences for all involved in football.”
In completing the course, all participants will receive level 3 certification, as well as a first-year referee kit with all the essentials including a teal shirt, shorts, socks, flags, whistle, cards and Laws of the Game book.
All participants must register and complete payment of fees prior to attending the course.
The cost of the course is $150 with registrations closing on April 1.
