Football Queensland has today released the 2023 draws for the Kappa Pro Series, NPL Queensland, FQPL 1, FQPL 2 and FQPL 3 – 6 Metro Men’s and Women’s competitions.
The NPL Women’s season commences on Friday, 10 February with a gripping local derby between Eastern Suburbs and Olympic FC, before the FQ Academy QAS take on newly promoted Peninsula Power on Saturday, 11 February. The NPL Women’s opening round closes with a Champions vs. Champions clash as last season’s NPL Grand Final winners Lions FC host FQPL 1 Grand Final winners Mitchelton FC on Sunday, 12 February.
Round 1 of the NPL Men’s and FQPL 1 Men’s season kicks off on Friday, 24 February with a mouthwatering Gold Coast Derby, followed by a Football Foundation Cup double-header at Luxury Paints Stadium as NPL Premiers Lions FC take on FQPL 1 Men Premiers Redlands United and FQPL 1 Women Premiers Peninsula Power on the Saturday evening.
The FQPL 1 Women begin their 2023 campaign on Saturday, 18 March as newly promoted Gold Coast duo Robina City and Broadbeach United take on Western Pride and Brisbane City respectively.
The FQPL 2 Men and Women, FQPL 3 – 6 Metro Men and FQPL 3 Metro Women seasons get underway after the opening round of the Australia Cup and Kappa Women’s Super Cup from Friday, 3 March.
The 2023 season will also see the launch of the brand-new Kappa Pro Series for NPL and FQPL 1 Men’s teams, which gets underway on Friday, 10 February with several captivating clashes across four pools.
