“To secure a venue as high profile as Suncorp Stadium for the Grand Final of our state’s top competitions is an amazing opportunity for both our fans and our players to experience match minutes at a major stadium,” Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“As Queensland’s largest sport, football is yet to secure football appropriate infrastructure to deliver Football Queensland’s extensive content. As the popularity and success of FQ Grand Finals continues to grow each year, it is exciting to see the NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 join the ranks of competitions held at the world class Suncorp Stadium.
“Having the venue secured for this year’s NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 Grand Finals will elevate the match day experience, and calls for our football family and corporate partners to come out and support our players as they compete for Championship titles on one of the state’s most famous grounds.
“The 2023 Grand Finals will see the NPL Men and Women competitions celebrating their 11th and 9th full seasons respectively and with plenty of action both on and off the field, this is set to be an unmissable event for the Queensland football community.”
