Football Queensland is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of respected football administrator and broadcaster, Rafe Griffin. 

Rafe’s extensive involvement in football included over five years with Football Brisbane, including a three-year tenure as General Manager where he led the strategic direction and management of the organisation. 

A well-known figure in Queensland football media, Rafe also established himself as a leading football commentator through his involvement in Fox Sport’s coverage of the FFA Cup and W-League as well as his commentary of the NPL Queensland. 

Rafe was a familiar face and voice to so many across the state, and we thank him and recognise his contributions to football. 

Football Queensland extends its condolences to Rafe’s family and loved ones.
