Football Queensland has confirmed the Provisional Declaration of Leagues for the 2027 season for the NPL Queensland, QPL 1 and 2, and QPL Metro Men competitions.
The Provisional Declaration of Leagues includes the proposed composition of leagues across FQ’s premier and Metro Men’s competitions, constructed in accordance with and determined by the rules of competition and sporting merit.
“From the NPL Queensland to our Metro Men’s and Women’s leagues, the 2026 season delivered a thrilling year of football as FQ’s connected football pyramid continued to create a pathway for players and teams at every level of the game,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“By providing opportunities for movement between leagues based on on-field performance, sporting merit and compliance, this competition framework will continue to support the long-term growth and development of clubs in 2027 as we prepare for another exciting season on the pitch.”
Clubs are currently completing the affiliation and licensing process to meet all required criteria to ensure they are eligible for their assigned league and ready for the upcoming season.
A club’s appearance in the ‘Provisional Declaration of Leagues’ is not confirmation of inclusion in the ‘Final Declaration of Leagues’. A club’s participation in the NPL and QPL leagues for the 2027 season is contingent upon final league design, affiliation confirmation, approval and compliance of a variety of conditions (mandatory or otherwise) contained within various participation licence agreements. No participation is guaranteed to any club in any league until the Final Declaration of Leagues is issued by FQ.
