FQ Academy Events
The FQ Academy is Football Australia’s only recognised and approved advanced player pathway program for state team selection and progression to national teams for Queensland footballers aged seven to seventeen.
FQ Academy Advanced Centres are provided with extensive development opportunities throughout the season with players participating in regional and state carnivals.
These carnivals are essential for players to express their skills in a game-based environment and for FQ Academy coaches to track player development as part of the year-long talent identification process.

As #FemaleFootballWeek celebrations get underway, Football Queensland is excited to announce the first winner of Queensland’s 2025 Female Football Week Awards as 𝐃𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐲, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫! 🤩🎉
Deia has been described as an “amazing lady” and a “decisive and intelligent person” by those around her. As a player as well as referee, Deia is constantly mentoring the young girls around her, pushing them to be the best they can be, while helping to nurture the next generation with words of wisdom and encouragement.
Deia is also an active member of the United Warrior’s family and is often seen volunteering in the canteen, helping out at a Come and Try days or club functions and often is the last to leave.
As a true role model to any young girl wanting to play football or be a referee, Deia proves through her actions that if you work hard and are dedicated to achieving your goals you can soar as high as you wish.
Congratulations Deia! 👏

Funding commitments continued to be announced for Queensland football clubs ahead of this weekend’s Federal Election, as Football Queensland’s #EQUALISER campaign drives advocacy for community football infrastructure investments across every electorate and party.
Football Queensland welcomes these announcements and will continue to engage with all parties beyond the election to ensure the state’s most played sport receives the support and investment it needs ⚽🏗️
