FA SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT
Welcome to the fq Junior Cup
On behalf of Football Queensland, I’d like to welcome all participants and families to the Sunshine Coast for the 2024 FQ Junior Cup.
Delivered in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast and taking place across 10 fields at Maroochydore FC over three exciting days, this year’s tournament promises to be a showcase of the talent nurtured within the FQ Academy system.
The FQ Junior Cup offers a valuable opportunity for our junior footballers to test their abilities in a competitive arena, vying for the title of champions while also serving as a platform for our players to connect and challenge themselves against peers from every region across Queensland.
Football Queensland utilises the FQ Junior Cup, an event that forms part of the FQ Academy Talent ID and player development system, a progressive step for our players as they prepare to begin being recognised as state representatives by Football Queensland coaching and technical staff.
As we return to the Sunshine Coast, players, coaches, and their families will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy all the region has to offer, from the world-class beaches to the picturesque hinterland.
Football Queensland would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast for their ongoing support of our state’s up-and-coming stars by helping to create a memorable event for all involved.
I wish our players, coaches and referees all the best for the tournament, and I look forward to witnessing some of the state’s best young talent in action at the 2024 FQ Junior Cup.

Rob Cavallucci
Chief Executive Officer
Mayoral Welcome
Greetings to all the young competitors and your families joining us for Football Queensland’s Junior Cup at Maroochydore Football Club.
Our region is honoured to host this event – where we celebrate the spirit of competition and the development of our future sports stars.
We are proud to bring together teams from five FQ Academy regional centres along with South East Queensland sides – reinforcing that the Sunshine Coast is a hub for junior football in our State.
This event is not just a celebration of football; it’s a testament to our commitment to nurturing the next generation of sports stars.
It is also a steppingstone towards our exciting future, with the Sunshine Coast expected to host preliminary football matches at Sunshine Coast Stadium as a Co-Host City for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Our Sunshine Coast Biosphere offers a backdrop of stunning natural beauty – from our beaches to our hinterland. So, while you are here, I encourage you to take in some of our natural wonders and have some fun at our local attractions – there is something here for everyone!
On behalf of our Sunshine Coast Council, I extend my heartfelt wishes for success to all the young athletes.
Best of luck to you all – may your time here be filled with memorable moments both on, and off, the field.

Mayor Rosanna Natoli
