Football Queensland will welcome junior teams from across the state, country and overseas this September and October as we host the 2025 Pacific Championships for the second year at Maroochydore FC and Ballinger Park on the Sunshine Coast in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council. 

  • Pacific Junior Championships

    Tuesday, 30 September – Thursday, 2 October
    Age groups: U10, U11, U12 & U13 Boys, U9/11 Girls and U12/13 Girls
    Academy Leagues 3 & 4, Community teams from Clubs and Schools

  • State of Origin Cup

    Friday, 3 October – Sunday, 5 October
    Age groups: U14 Boys, U14/17 Girls 
    Representative teams from Member Federations and invited Clubs

Welcome to the Pacific Championships

On behalf of Football Queensland, I’d like to welcome all players, coaches, referees, and families to the Sunshine Coast for the 2025 Pacific Championships. 

Over six days across Maroochydore FC and Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC, the Pacific Junior Championships and the State of Origin Cup will bring together some of the strongest young talent in Queensland and beyond. 

The tournament gives players the chance to test themselves against peers from across the state and visiting interstate Member Federation teams. For many, it is an important step on the pathway to representative teams as Football Queensland and Football Australia technical and coaching staff use this tournament to identify and support players as they develop and move toward state-level recognition. 

Football Queensland would like to extend a big thank you to Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast for their ongoing support in helping us create a tournament that our young players will remember for years to come.  

I hope everyone will enjoy their time on the Sunshine Coast. Whether it is spending time at the beach, exploring the hinterland, or simply sharing moments with teammates on the sidelines, there is plenty to experience throughout the scenic region. 

To all the players, coaches, and referees: enjoy the competition, play hard, and have fun. I can’t wait to see the talent and passion on display at the 2025 Pacific Championships.

SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Spectators attending a Match or otherwise involved in any activity staged or sanctioned by Football Australia or an affiliate Member Federation, District Association or Club must: 
 
1. Respect the decisions of Match Officials and teach children to do the same. 
 
2. Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake. 
 
3. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, 
language, politics, national or ethnic origin. 
 
4. Never use violence in any form towards another person including fellow spectators, Players or Match/Team Officials (including Coaches). 
 
5. Not engage in acts of discrimination, harassment or abuse towards any person, including: 
a. the use of obscene or offensive language and/or gestures; 
b. the incitement of hatred or violence.
 
6. Comply with all Terms of Admission including provisions relating to security screening, intoxication, and items that are prohibited by law or restricted by policy from being brought into the Venue. 
 
7. Not display, or attempt to display, the following items within the Venue: 
a. National, political or racial flags or emblems except for the recognised National flags of the competing teams; 
b. offensive or inappropriate banners in either English or a foreign language. 
 
8. Never throw missiles, projectiles or objects of any description at Players, Match Officials or fellow spectators. 
 
9. Not enter or attempt to enter the field of play or playing arena without lawful authority. 
 
10. Refrain from any disorderly conduct or conduct that may injure the reputation and goodwill of Football Australia and the code of Football generally. 
 
Any person who does not comply with this Spectator Code of Behaviour or who otherwise causes a disturbance may be evicted from the Venue and may be banned from attending future Matches.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION

To ease congestion, two (2) off-site parking locations have been secured with shuttle buses running to and from each matchday location across the first two days of competition.  

To assist with the flow of traffic in and out of both on-site and off-site car parks throughout the day, attendees will be required to display a ticket on their windscreen upon entry to the car parks before returning the ticket upon departure. 

  • Parking tickets are single-use only. Vehicles cannot leave and re-enter the car park within the allocated booking time. 
  • Accessible parking is available at both venues for vehicles with disability permits. Please proceed to the front entrance, where FQ staff will direct you to an available space. 
  • FQ staff will be on hand to assist at all parking and venue locations. 

Participants and families are reminded to please respect local businesses in the area, with parking in surrounding business premises strictly prohibited at both matchday locations. 

As these local businesses are private properties, any unauthorised vehicles may be fined and towed at the owner’s expense. Please ensure you only park in designated event parking areas to avoid penalties.

Off-Site: Maroochydore Multi-Sports Complex

Off-Site Park n’ Ride Shuttle available only for morning games 8:30am – 2:30pm. 

The last shuttle departs 30 minutes after the final match. 

Example: If the final match ends at 2:00pm, the last shuttle leaves at 2:30pm.
