
Multicultural Settlement Program
The Multicultural Settlement Program (MSP) is a MiniRoos program for boys & girls ages 5 – 11 who have arrived in Australia within the last 5 years.
The MSP aims to foster relationships between clubs, schools and local communities to engage and provide playing opportunities for newly-arrived children.
The MSP is a FREE, 6 week program run weekly with qualified coaches teaching participants key football skills through fun exercises and games in an inclusive environment.
All participants receive a free participant pack including a ball, shirt and a gift certificate upon completion of the program.

The Multicultural Youth Program (MYP) combines a social-emotional learning approach with the National Football Curriculum’s skill acquisition phase.
An 8 week FREE program for 12-20 year old newly arrived migrants, refugees, asylum seeker children and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Each session explores both a football skill and a key social and emotional principle through specifically designed football activities and purposeful, safe discussions.
The Multicultural Youth Program football sessions are delivered in a powerful, positive and inclusive learning environment by trained coaches.

Indigenous Football
Football Queensland proudly supports Indigenous football throughout the state through collaboration with groups and clubs that facilitate community events and initiatives, and by promoting opportunities for Indigenous Queenslanders to join our game.

Townsville State High School
Q-league
A structured league competition with a focus on multiculturalism and inclusion, the Q-League brings together communities and players of all backgrounds while celebrating the cultural diversity of our state.
The Q-League also provides a pathway into club football for community players and teams, with a number of teams successfully transitioning from the competition into Queensland’s connected football pyramid since its launch in 2020.

Brisbane Paralympic Football Program
Founded in 2006 by director Jay Larkin for children of all abilities to play football, the Brisbane Paralympic Football Program is an endorsed FQ All Abilities program. A fun program designed to encourage family participation. The aim of the BPFP is to get young people with a disability to stay active and healthy.
The BPFP is run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers with professional experience working with people with disabilities, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, sports psychologists and teachers.

Variety Queensland Inclusive Sports Program
Football Queensland is proud to support Variety Queensland’s inclusive sports program through involvement in the Activate Inclusion Sports Days held in Brisbane.
The Variety Activate Inclusion Sports Days program provides free and inclusive sports days for children with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities and is aimed at kids aged 5-17.
FQ coaches deliver workshops as part of the program, providing an opportunity for participants to try football alongside a range of other sports in a fun and supportive environment with specialised coaches.

Queensland Para Football Team
The BPFP serves as a platform for the Queensland State Para Football Team. Representing Queensland puts players in the frame for a call-up to Australia’s National Para Football Team, the Pararoos.
Registration is open to all male and female players 12 years and over with Ataxia, Hypertonia or Athetosis, three impairment types that are most commonly associated with individuals having a neurological impairment, with a motor control impairment of a cerebral nature, causing a permanent and verifiable Activity Limitation.
Para Football (CP Football) is for Athletes with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury or symptoms acquired from stroke.
– Only 7 players on the field of play
– Two halves of 30 minutes
– Smaller pitch and goal posts
– No off-side law
– Throw-ins can be made by rolling the ball into play
On the field of play the teams consist of seven ambulant athletes, with cerebral palsy or a traumatic brain injury, ranging from classes FT1 to FT3.
Each team (seven players) has to have one FT1 player on the field at all times and is not allowed to have more than one FT3 players on the field.
Powerchair Football
Football Queensland proudly supports the Queensland Powerchair Football Association which was founded to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to play team sport.
Powerchair Football is an adapted version of the world game of football. Two teams of four hit and spin a 13-inch football on a regular-size basketball court. The game is played by athletes who use powerchairs for their everyday mobility.
There are currently four powerchair teams competing within the QPFA in SEQ – Richlands Lions, Brisbane Strikers, Brisbane City & Moreton City Excelsior.
The sport is easy and quick to learn – and QPFA will provide all the necessary advice on sourcing footguards to participate. If you would like to join QPFA, please email qldpfa@gmail.com, or find out more at the QPFA website here!
Deaf Futsal
Football Queensland assists Deaf Sport & Recreation Queensland in running the annual Deaf Futsal Gala Day. Each year in late October, more than 70 deaf and hard of hearing youth come together from ten different schools from the Brisbane & Darling Downs region to play futsal together.
Schools that participate in the event include:
