Queensland’s next wave of talent delivered an outstanding showing at the 2026 CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships 💚💛
It was an exceptional tournament for our #FQAcademy State Squads, with the boys showcasing the quality, depth and competitiveness of Queensland football on the national stage. Highlighted by U15 Maroon going undefeated through the tournament and finishing runners‑up, this marks the fifth consecutive year Queensland has reached a final. The championships delivered unbelievable results, including four Queensland teams progressing to the quarter finals and a record number of individual honours.
These performances speak volumes not only about the players, but about the clubs, #FQAcademy regional centres, coaches, support staff and families who contribute every day to the development of Queensland footballers. This success belongs to everyone who plays a role in the pathway. The pride shown in wearing the maroon and white, and the way our players represented Queensland both on and off the pitch, made this a truly special campaign.
Congratulations to the Queensland award winners:
U15 Maroon:
• Golden Boot – Lucas Krenek & Nathan Kirby
• Player of the Tournament – Kallum Chalker
• Goalkeeper of the Tournament - Codey Huston
U16 Maroon:
