Fixtures have today been released for the remainder of the 2021 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Women’s and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) Women’s seasons.
The release of the draw follows the split of the NPL Women’s league at the halfway mark of the season, paving the way for a connected two-tier system incorporating a new FQPL Women’s league.
17 sides have now been split between the two leagues, with FQPL Women’s fixtures commencing from this weekend (Friday, 23 July) with nine teams, before NPL Women’s fixtures recommence from next Saturday, 31 July featuring eight sides.
The side that finishes at the top of the FQPL Women’s competition at the conclusion of the season will secure a spot in the NPL Women’s competition in 2022, with the remaining eight teams to form the FQPL Women’s division in 2022.
