Football Queensland is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Mitre as the official ball partner and preferred ball supplier to the Queensland football community until 2028.
Under the renewed agreement, Mitre footballs will continue as the official competition ball for the NPL Queensland and the FQPL leagues, as well as all community and FQ Academy leagues and events.
Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said the partnership renewal reflected the shared commitment of both FQ and Mitre in their dedication to continue supporting the state’s most popular team sport across every level.
“Since first announcing our partnership three years ago, football in Queensland has experienced tremendous growth, and Mitre has stood alongside us and our clubs every step of the way,” Cavallucci said.
“This renewed partnership ensures that our community will continue to have access to high-quality equipment so that all our players and clubs across Queensland can enjoy the beautiful game at its best no matter where they are.
“As we continue to push towards our 50/50 gender parity target by 2027 and continue driving the development and advancement of the game, we’re proud to have Mitre by our side for three more years to support our participants and ensure they can play with the very best.”
Mitre Australia’s Director of Sportsmart Group Gerrard Woods said the renewal of the partnership would continue to deliver real benefits for clubs and players across Queensland.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Football Queensland and to continue supplying footballs that meet the highest standards, from community teams across every region right through to the NPL Queensland,” Woods said.
“Mitre has a long history in the game, and we’re committed to ensuring that all players and clubs can enjoy the great game with the very best equipment. Together with Football Queensland, we look forward to building on the growth of recent years as we work together to help the game reach even greater heights across the state.”
Further information will be shared shortly with clubs regarding 2026 complimentary ball allocations, including access details to the FQ Mitre club portal.
