Football Queensland reflects on a year of refinement and progress in its 2024 Annual Report

Football Queensland (FQ) is proud to unveil its 2024 Annual Report, following the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 24 May 2025. 

Following the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Saturday, 24 May, Football Queensland welcomes newly appointed Board Director Adam Leake to the FQ Board of Directors and confirms the re-election of Ross Thompson, while acknowledging the contributions of outgoing Board Director Jackie Knight.

Football Queensland has concluded its investigation into the alleged fielding of an ineligible player by Lions FC in the Kappa Queensland Cup Women’s Round 5 fixture between Capalaba FC and Lions FC on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.

As 2025 National Volunteer Week celebrations continue this week, Football Queensland (FQ) is proud to recognise the hundreds and thousands of dedicated individuals who contribute their time, energy and passion to keep the game thriving in communities right across the state. 

The Football Queensland 2024 Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, 24 May 2025.

With wet weather continuing to impact the 2025 football season, Football Queensland is working closely with clubs to ensure all postponed competitive matches (U13 and above) are rescheduled. This may include potential alterations, or an extension to competition calendars to enable the season to be completed in its entirety.
